BOW SIM MARK
'Bow Sim Mark' () is a well known martial artist residing in Newton, Massachusetts, USA. Originally from Guangzhou, China, she founded the Chinese Wushu Research Institute upon emigrating to Boston in 1972, and currently teaches and performs in the area. She was one of the first to provide Chinese wushu instruction in the West. Master Mark is frequently called a "treasure" of either the local arts or the international wushu performing scenes.
One of her unique specialties is her Wudang Sword routine, imitated in Yuen Wu-Ping's ''Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon'' choreography. The Wushu Research Institute has published a number of books based on her expert instruction. The strength of this collection is her very complete coverage of Tai Chi Chuan in multiple volumes. She must be particularly credited for the strong development of the 67 movements Combined Tai-Chi Chuan form in the USA and in Europe through her teaching and editing.
Her son is martial arts movie star Donnie Yen.
