The 'Boudin Bakery' (pronounced "bo-DEEN") is a famous bakery situated in San Francisco, California known for its sourdough bread (called 'Original San Francisco Sourdough French Bread'). It was established in 1849 by Isidore Boudin by blending the prevalent sourdough among miners in the Gold Rush with French techniques. The bakery has locations on Fisherman's Wharf near San Francisco Bay, Disney's California Adventure Park, and 26 other cafés scattered throughout California. The main bakery in San Francisco is in the Richmond District on the corner of 10th Avenue and Geary Boulevard.
