'Blue Gum' usually refers to the gum subspecies ''Eucalyptus globulus'', however it may also refer to a number of other species of Eucalyptus in Australia. Confusingly, in Queensland it usually refers to ''Eucalyptus tereticornis'', which is known elsewhere as Forest Red Gum.
