BISHOP OF SOUTHWARK (ANGLICAN)

(Redirected from Bishop of Southwark)

''Bishop of Southwark redirects here. This title was also held by the Bishop of Southwark (Roman Catholic), the precursor office to Archbishop of Southwark.''
The 'Bishop of Southwark' oversees the Anglican Diocese of Southwark, which forms part of the Province of Canterbury in England. It was formed on May 1, 1905 from part of the Diocese of Rochester.[1] Consequently, compared with the ancient dioceses, its list of bishops is short.
