'Benchill' is a district of the city of
Manchester, part of the massive
Wythenshawe council estate, about eight miles south of the city centre. In 2000 it was named the most deprived ward in England, since the release "index of local deprivation" many successful schemes have been set up, to aid the residents of Benchill. The area also gained national media attention when politician
David Cameron visited the estate only to be targeted by a group of youths, which one in particular did a gun gesture with his hand towards him
