The 'Battle of Tedorigawa' (手取川の戦い Tedorigawa-no-tatakai) took place in
1577 in Japan.
Shibata Katsuie, with about 50,000 men of Oda clan, crossed the
Tedorigawa at night to attack
Uesugi Kenshin. Kenshin, who had about 30,000 men was expecting the move and was ready. Nobunaga was defeated.
