'Barrancos' (

municipality in
Portugal with a total area of 168.3
km² and a total population of 1,825 inhabitants.
The municipality is composed of 1 parish, being one of the six Portuguese municipalities composed of only one parish, and is located in the District of
Beja.
Among its economic activities are
agriculture and
livestock rising, being a production center for
ham made of the Iberian Pig (also known as ''Porco Alentejano'').
The present Mayor is António Pica Tereno, elected by the
Unitarian Democratic Coalition.
The municipal holiday is
August 28.
