BARKINGSIDE
'Barkingside' is a place in the London Borough of Redbridge. It is a suburban development, and was part of Essex until 1965, when the Greater London boundary was established.
It is home to schools including Ilford County High School and King Solomon High School. Barkingside is chiefly known for the children's charity Barnardo's, the charity that was founded here 1866; it is in Barkingside where the charity's national headquarters are based.
Many of the buildings along its high street are owned by entrepreneur Alan Sugar (
