'Barðaströnd' is an area of historical interest in nortwestern
Iceland. It is the coast between
Vatnsfjörður and
Sigluneshlíðar in southern
Vestfirðir region. This is the place where
Flóki Vilgerðarson first set up winter camp.
The
Icelandic county Barðastrandarsýsla is named after Barðaströnd.
