The 'Awrtable' people are a Somali sub-clan, part of the larger Darod group. Their main centre is Burtinle, in the Nugaal region (''gobolka''). Awrtable also live across in cities such as Garoowe and Boosaaso, both part of the self-proclaimed state of Puntland.
Sub-clans include Sugaal Muuse, Waaq-la-jire, Reer Shucayb, Muuse Ibraahim, Maxamad Axmad, and Ciise Axmad.
