As a studio drummer and programmer he may be found in albums of top song artist.  | OSCAR D'AURIA Baterista - Chacarera Drum Solo - Solo de Batería Drum Solo by D'Auria - MALAMBO - Chacarera 6/8 OSCAR D'AURIA - baterista, director, autor, educador y clínico - nació en Buenos Aires, cursó estudios de batería con el Maestro Alberto Alcalá, piano en el Instituto Santa Cecilia y percusión con el Profesor José María Martín Porrás en el Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, durante su primer residencia en España. Ha trabajado como solista y compartiendo escenario, televisión, radio y discos con infinidad de artistas en varios países de Sudamérica, Europa, Sudeste de Asia, Rusia, Japón y Estados Unidos de América. Como educador cuenta con haber escrito el primer método de ritmos de Rock en Latinoamérica - Introducción al Rock, Ricordi ISBN 950-22-0406-9 y fundado el curso de batería en el SADEM (Sindicato Argentino de Músicos); ha escrito 4 libros más, grabado el video educacional "Batería en Acción", ha enseñado en Argentina, España, Francia y Estados Unidos de América, e impartido clínicas y master classes en Argentina, EE.UU y en gira por ciudades de España y Portugal. Su carrera incluye figuras de Argentina tales como: Sandro o Roberto Goyeneche; de España: Julio Iglesias, José Vélez o Los Chunguitos; de Mexico: Armando Manzanero o Amanda Miguel; de Estados Unidos: Marco Antonio Solís o Pandora; músicos de la talla de Domingo Moles, Otmaro Ruiz, Oscar Cardozo Ocampo o Daniel de los Reyes; auditorios del prestigio del Olympia de París, Luna Park y el Teatro Gran Rex de Buenos Aires, CCP de Manila o el Kallang Theatre de Singapur; álbumes como "Afro Tango" y "Tango 2000" con su banda, o "Latin Fantasy" de Sony Music que incluye dos temas de Afrotango junto a temas por Gloria Stefan, Santana o Ricky Martin entre otos. DAuria innovó en la forma de tocar tango en la batería, como lo presenta en su libro Drums Batería Drums. Asimismo incorporó instrumentos de percusión: Congas, bongó, timbales, cencerros, pandereta, shakers, claves, woodblock, cabasa, chimes, finger cymbals, sleigh bells y sets de batería y percusión electrónica. Todo ese potencial rítmico aportado al Tango, lo denominó Afrotango, estilo y nombre que en la actualidad son utilizados por muchos músicos y agrupaciones en el mundo. En la actualidad divide su tiempo entre enseñanza, clínicas, presentaciones y grabaciones en Europa y Sudamérica, manteniendo dos escuelas permanentes en Buenos Aires Aires y Madrid.
