1265) was a Persian
philosopher,
astronomer and
mathematician from
Abhar. His works include
★ '': a book dealing with a complete cycle of Hikmat, i.e., logic, natural philosophy, and metaphysics.
★ '': a treatise on
logic which was still used as a textbook in the modern Islamic world.
★ Five works on astronomy.
★ He also made notable contributions to theoretical
geometry.
His works were translated into Hebrew and Latin and his influence is evident in Western treatises of late medieval and Renaissance times.
