'Ashur-nadin-shumi' (d.
694 BC) was an ancient King of
Babylon. The son of the
Assyrian king
Sennacherib, Ashur-nadin-shumi was installed by his father as
King of Babylon in
700 BC. He reigned for six years, until he was murdered by the
Elamites following their capture of the city in
694 BC.
