ASCOTT-UNDER-WYCHWOOD


'Ascott-under-Wychwood' is a village and civil parish in the West Oxfordshire district of Oxfordshire. It is on the south bank of the River Evenlode and is named for the historic forest of Wychwood. The population was 504 according to the 2001 census.
The village is the site of Ascott-under-Wychwood railway station, which is on the Cotswold Line.
Ascott-under-Wychwood is a close neighbour to the other ancient Wychwood villages, Shipton-under-Wychwood, Milton-under-Wychwood, Fifield, Idbury and Leafield.
