Dr. John Carter Tribute - The Art of Losing
Click on "watch in high quality" under the video! ~Carter was always one of my favorite characters, if not my absolute favorite character, on the TV show ER! I've never seen anything else Noah Wyle has done, but his 11 years on ER assured me that he was a brilliant actor! Carter was funny and tragic and wonderful, and we saw him from his first day at County General, when he didn't even know how to put in stitches or start an IV, all the way through being in charge, until he eventually decided to move to Africa permanently to work and help the world - and to be with Kem. Carter had to suffer through being stabbed, becoming addicted to narcotics (painkilling drugs), deal with his parents who didn't love him the way parents should, deal with the death of his Gamma (his grandmother whom he loved more than either of his parents), suffer through continually unsatisfying love and relationships with Abby Lockhart, be held at gunpoint in Africa, and even suffer through the pain of his child being stillborn. He also helped his good friend Jing-Mei "Deb" Chen give birth to a child she had to make the tough decision to give away for adoption, etc. I tried to portray it all in this video set to a song that I realized could fit him while listening to my Freaky Friday soundtrack one time too many... ;) This video is dedicated to Louis aka Cartoonfan123 since he's turning 22 tomorrow! Happy birthday!! I might have left this idea laying around for another month if he hadn't told me his birthday was coming up - but because it was and he's an ER fan (and Carter is his favorite character) - I decided to finish this for him! I still wish I could have had a few clips I didn't, and a few in higher quality, but I managed to make do with what I could find at the following sites: http://bewarehedard.free.fr/home.htm http://www.rslinks.org/search/node/ER http://www.geocities.com/jcvideoclips/clips.htm and I might have even gotten one or two from: (the fencing scene from season 7) http://www.thedancewedo.com/newhome.html and http://www.fan-sites.org/sherry-stringfield/ (the engagement ring scene) and the Megaupload links in the descriptions for 2 videos by AllKRules So I am VERY appreciative!! :D Enjoy! Song: The Art of Losing Artist: American Hi-Fi (This it the 10th addition to my playlist of ER videos that I've made! Check the rest out: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=EA6D26B1070BE7DB )
