'Alexander of Tralles', Alexander Trallianus, (c.
525 – c.
605) was a
Greek physician born in
Tralles in
Lydia (modern
Aydin,
Turkey). He lived probably about the middle of the
6th century and practised
medicine with success at
Rome. The Greek text of one of his works was printed in
Paris in 1548 and his ''De Lumbricis'' at
Venice in 1570.
