 | Hungarian Bagpipes - Magyar Duda Voilà, my new set of Hungarian pipes, made by master Juraj Dufek from Bojnice, Slovakia. The duda is a variety of the double-bore bagpipes found from the Tatra mountains down to Slavonia. It's speciality is the so called "flea hole": When opened, the played note sounds one semitone higher, thus making it possible to play a nearly complete chromatic octave range scale. The second bore of the chanter plays only the tonic and the domninant. The chanter of my instrument is made after an instrument preserved in a museum, thus it has a more narrow bore (6 mm) than most modern Hungarian bagpipes. The tonality is A. The first song to be heard is a Hungarian classic, "Aki dudás akar lenni": Aki dudás akar lenni Pokolra kell annak menni: Ott vannak a férges kutyák abból lesznek a jó dudák!
