AIR STREAM

An 'airstream' is a relatively well-defined prevailing wind, it is name given to a body of air, or air mass, that moves from its source region and brings the weather with it.
It can also mean the flow of air that is driven backwards by an aircraft propeller, also referred to as a backwash, slipstream or any other uninterrupted stream or discharge of air.
Air that starts over the Sahara stays hot and dry and can move to another region where it will bring hot and dry weather.
