One of several leading female
editors from the golden age of
Hollywood, 'Adrienne Fazan' (
1906 –
1986) first started cutting films in
1933. She found her forte with the
MGM musical heyday, working on such films as ''
Anchors Aweigh'' (
1945) and ''
Kismet'' (
1955), and earning an
Oscar nomination for ''
An American in Paris'' in
1951 and the award itself for ''
Gigi'' in
1958. She retired in
1970.
