KOWEIT - Les places financières des monarchies pétrolières du Golfe ont terminé la journée en baisse dimanche, début de la semaine boursière, en dépit de mesures de soutien des gouvernements. La banque centrale saoudienne a annoncé qu'elle abaissait son taux directeur de 1% à 3,0% dans la troisième réduction du genre en six semaines. Le taux a baissé de près de moitié depuis début octobre. Le Koweït et Oman ont annoncé la semaine dernière la création de fonds pour investir en Bourse dans une tentative d'enrayer les baisses des cours alors que les autorités des Emirats arabes unis ont commencé un processus de fusion de deux géants du prêt immobilier en une banque de l'habitat. Cela n'a pas empêché les Bourses locales de continuer à baisser avec en tête les marchés de Dubaï, d'Arabie saoudite et du Qatar. "Le sentiment est très négatif dans les Bourses du Golfe en raison de la vague de (mauvaises) nouvelles provenant des marchés internationaux", explique à l'AFP Faisal Hasan, qui dirige l'unité de recherches de la Kuwait's Global Investment House. "Il existe également un effet de contagion après la chute du marché saoudien", a-t-il souligné. La Bourse saoudienne a reculé de plus de 9% à l'ouverture de la semaine samedi. Le marché saoudien ouvre de samedi à mercredi tandis que les autres places financières du Golfe sont ouvertes de dimanche à jeudi. Dimanche, la Bourse saoudienne a encore reculé de 3,8% à 4.264,52 points, au plus bas en près de cinq ans, en dépit de la réduction du taux de la banque centrale. Le marché a été affecté par les secteurs des banques et de la pétrochimie qui ont cédé 4,7 et 1,9% respectivement tandis que les télécoms plongeaient de 7,1%. La valeur vedette de Sabic, géant de la pétrochimie, a perdu 3,6%. Aux Emirats arabes unis, le Dubai Financial Market (DFM) a cédé 4,7% sous la barre psychologique des 2.000 points, le géant de l'immobilier Emaar, reculant de 7,8%. Le secteur immobilier a perdu dans son ensemble 7,8%. L'action Emaar a dégringolé à 2,73 dirhams (0,74 dollars), son niveau le plus bas en plus quatre ans et perdu plus de de 81% depuis le début de l'année. Aux Emirats aussi, l'Abu Dhabi Securities Market a cédé 1,26% à un niveau proche de la barre des 2.800 points, l'immobilier reculant de 2,5% et le secteur de l'énergie perdant 6,1%. Les deux marchés ont ignoré l'annonce samedi du début d'un processus de fusion en une seule banque, sous le contrôle des autorités fédérales des Emirats, de Amlak Finance et Tamweel, les deux plus grandes sociétés de prêt immobilier à Dubaï avec près de 7 milliards de dollars d'avoirs. La cotation des actions des deux sociétés a été suspendue à la Bourse de Dubaï qui a connu ces dernières semaines une véritable descente aux enfers des valeurs immobilières, dans la foulée de la crise financière mondiale. Le Kuwait Stock Exchange, la deuxième bourse arabe, a baissé de 0,75% en dépit d'une hausse de 1,1% du secteur des banques. Le KSE a fermé la semaine dernière sur une hausse de 2,1%. Le Doha Securities Market a fini la journée sur une baisse de 4%, son niveau le plus bas en deux ans alors que petit Muscat Securities Market a cédé 2,6% et que le Bahrain Stock Exchange a reculé de 0,85%. M.
