'Angoulême CFC' is a
French football club from the city of
Angoulême, currently playing in Division d'honneur (DH) of the Ligue du Centre-Ouest (6th division). Founded in 1920 as SC Angoulême, the club is well-known as AS Angoulême, a name the club bore from 1948 to 1992 .They assumed their current name in 2005.

History
The team played in
Division 1 three seasons, from 1969 to 1972, managing a qualification in
Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in
1970-1971 but the team was defeated by
Vitória S.C. in the first round.
The team played in
National from 2001 to 2004 when the team fell in
CFA.At the end of the 2004-2005 season the team suffered a forced relegation in Division d'honneur (DH) of the Ligue du Centre-Ouest (6th division) due to financial problems.
