ABC ISLANDS (LESSER ANTILLES)
The 'ABC islands' are Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao. They are the three most western islands of the Leeward Antilles in the Caribbean, north of Falcón State, Venezuela. From west to east they are in the order Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire.
All three islands are part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Aruba is an autonomous, self-governing member state of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and Bonaire and Curaçao are in the Netherlands Antilles. They may be contrasted with the SSS islands, Saba, Sint Eustatius, and Sint Maarten, all three in the Netherlands Antilles.
