![]() | Toronto 2006 First Snow -in 1990s it use to snow AT LEAST SEVERAL meters EVERY SINGLE WINTER in TORONTO for the entire winter -I use to be able to go outside and have snowball fights - there would be enough snow to make a snowman! -now in the 20th Century - since year 2000 - Toronto has had NOTHING BUT RAIN AND ALMOST NOTHING BUT 1cm (if we're lucky) of snow - and if it didn't melt by morning! -think about this: IT ONLY TOOK A 2 DEGREE DROP IN TODAY'S GLOBAL TEMPERATURE FOR THE LAST ICE AGE TO TAKE PLACE! -think about what would happen if there was a 2 or 3 degree increase??!!!!!! -within the next 50-100 years!! - YOU WILL STILL BE ALIVE - YOUR CHILDREN WILL STILL BE ALIVE! -consequences are the INTENSIFICATION OF CURRENT CLIMATE/WEATHER CONDITIONS - Meaning more i.e. rain/snow all at once in stead of spread out evenly throughout the year - this causes severe flooding and DROUGHT! -and the SHIFTING OF THESE WEATHER/CLIMATE CONDITIONS FROM ONE PARTY OF THE WORLD TO ANOTHER -i.e. rain from Africa has been for the last 20 years shifting to Europe etc. -resulting in the devasting DROUGHTS that continues to grip AFRICA EVERY YEAR WHILE EUROPE EXPERIENCES ANNUAL FLOODS! |
