Yoshi's Island 64 [Yoshi's Story - Beta] Nintendo 64 - 1996
http://www.unseen64.net First Look at Yoshi 64 Shoshinkai proved furtive ground for little bits of goodness like this clip of Yoshi's Island 64 December 2, 1996 - Yoshi's Island 64, once just a rumor, is now a reality. Or at least damn close to it. At Nintendo's 8th Annual Shoshinkai last week, Nintendo Co. Ltd. previewed a short movie of the game on its giant video screen kitty corner to the press room. The game appears to be a lush, lively, polygonally animated title with a vibrant color palate and characters familiar to those appearing in previous Yoshi and Mario games. What has not been announced by Nintendo is whether the game will appear on the 64DD or not (or whether it'll be on cart or disk). And, of course, Nintendo didn't include any literature at the show, nor did its execs include the game on the first half, 1997 line-up. Yoshi's Island 64 (working title), unfortunately, appears to a nostalgic title, harking back to PlayStation's Rayman or even Saturn's Bug!, both of which were "3D games," but only in look, and not in gameplay. The side-scrolling action looks disappointingly familiar, with Yoshi bouncing off giant ferns and leaves, and smacking bad guys on the head. http://ign64.ign.com/articles/060/060410p1.html

Funny Games: Old vs New
imdb.com says 1997 - Georg and Anna, and their son Georgie, are traveling to their lakeside summer home. Upon arrival, Georg and Georgie head off to the lake for sailing while Anna prepares dinner in the kitchen. The serenity is shattered by a young man named Peter, who knocks at the door asking to borrow some eggs. The unwanted visitor is joined by Paul, a brash, arrogant young man. It soon becomes clear the pair has no intention of leaving. When Georg returns and tries to throw them out, physical violence erupts, and the family is held captive. What ensues are highly disturbing and violent games that are initiated by Paul and Peter with Georg, Anna, and Georgie as the unwilling participants. 2007 - In this shot-by-shot remake of the 1997 artistic exploration of violence, a bourgeoisie family, comprised of wife Anna, husband George, and son Georgie, take their summer vacation at their luxurious lake-front house on Long Island. Shortly after settling in, a young man by the name of Peter shows up at the front door, requesting some eggs to borrow for their neighbor. Peter is quickly joined by another young man, Paul, who comes in to check on Peter. The men seem very polite at first, but soon, however, something about them begins to rub Ann the wrong way: Peter breaks the eggs that Ann gives him twice in a row and accidentally knocks Ann's cell phone into the sink; Peter takes a golf club out front to try out; and, shortly after, their dog is missing. Ann soon gets fed up with them, and asks them to leave. The men's attitude quickly changes, and when George asks the men to leave, Peter grabs a golf club and breaks George's leg with it. The two men take the family hostage and begin to play games that involve physically and mentally torturing them. The games gradually get more life-threatening, and eventually Paul makes a bet with the audience: the family will be dead by 9 am the next morning. The majority of the film focuses on whether the family will survive the night. yup, they are the same. its a great film. a little slow at times but it really sticks with you and messes with your head. not like i had trouble sleeping, just keeps your mind moving.

Gameplay Series 38.: Toy Story (NES pirate) Playthrough
Requested by CrashManEXE and Irvin3Kinneas. This NES pirate, made in 1997 (one of the golden years of NES pirates), has some decent (sarcasm intended) Engrish in the cutscenes between the levels. The bad point is, the last level's cutscene is the same as the previous level's. Well, a few words about the game itself. You control Woody, you can't kill the enemy toys, you have three hit points, so this game is NOT a one-hit-wonder game like Adventure Island. There aren't much music in this game, there are only two or three tracks. The sound effects are from Super Contra 3, Pocahontas and Donkey Kong Country 4... speaking of DKC4, the same guys did this game (see the ending) The controls are your run of the mill NES pirate average... That's all I have to say now, and THEND ;P
Wally Szczerbiak - Wally's World
Walter Robert "Wally" Szczerbiak (pronounced Surh-Bee-Ak) (born March 5, 1977) is an American professional basketball player for the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers. Szczerbiak was born in Madrid, Spain, while his father Walter (a former ABA player) was playing for Real Madrid, and spent much of his childhood in Europe during his father's playing career. When Walter retired, he moved his family back to his native Long Island, New York, where Wally attended high school in Cold Spring Harbor. Wally set a cold spring harbor record in 1993. Szczerbiak competed for the Long Island team in the 1997 Empire State Games. The Minnesota Timberwolves selected Szczerbiak 6th overall in the 1999 NBA Draft. His best year as a pro was 2002 when he was a coaches' selection to the Western Conference All-Star team. Later he tied a Timberwolves franchise record of 44 points on April 13, 2003, since broken by Kevin Garnett. Szczerbiak was coming off the bench for the 2004-2005 NBA season. He was uncomfortable with the role and wanted to be a starter. In the 2005-2006 season, the former All-Star returned to the starting role. Szczerbiak is an offensive-minded player with an excellent perimeter touch. In the 2006-07 season, Szczerbiak played well early on, including a 35-point performance against the Charlotte Bobcats early in the season. On February 21, 2008, Szczerbiak was traded from the SuperSonics to the Cavaliers along with Sonics teammate Delonte West and Ben Wallace and Joe Smith from Chicago Bulls in a three-team deal one minute before the deadline expired.
Spy Fox in "Dry Cereal": Acidophilus Theme
As I've said many times, Star Fox is my favorite game. well, I thought it over, and I remebered an old jewel I used to play back when I was really small. I dug up in my closet and found a whole bunch of Humongous Entertainment games (Spy Fox, Pajama sam, Freddi Fish, and Putt-Putt), and on the bottom of the pile, and found my true favorite game ever. Spy Fox. It was a PC game, and the first game I ever played. You were an anthropomorphic fox who is a spy for Spy Corps International, and one day, a sour goat by the name of William the Kid decides to destroy the worlds supply of Cow's milk and replace it with absolutely disgusting Goat's milk. GROSS! (although I do like Feta Cheese.) So starts the adventure! There's five in the Spy Fox series, and a remake coming up soon for the Wii in September! BUY IT, IT'LL BE $19.95! And a Wii game!! anyway, these two songs are my favorite songs in the game, and they play on the Greek island of Acidophilus located in the middle of the Mediteranian sea. (And the song that plays in the beginning is my favorite song of all time.) Spy Fox: Dry Cereal © 1997, 2002, 2008 Humongous Entertainment/Humongous Inc., Atari. All Rights Reserved.
