'ぬ', in
hiragana, or 'ヌ' in

IPA ), is one of the Japanese
kana, which each represent one
mora. These
syllabary characters for the syllable "nu" are derived ultimately from the Chinese character 奴. Both hiragana and katakana are made in two strokes.
Also note that, as in the other -u kana, the "u" sound is very subtle; unless well-articulated, this kana sounds fairly close to the English "n."
