ÖLGII (CITY)


'Ölgii' is the capital of the Bayan-Ölgii Aimag (province) of Mongolia, located in the extreme west of the country. It has an altitude of 1710 meters (5610 feet). City population is 27,568 (2005).

The Ölgii Airport (ULG/ZMUL) has one unpaved runway. It offers regular flights to Ulan Bator and occasional flights to Almaty in Kazakhstan.
