'Åsjordet' is a station on
Kolsåsbanen (line 6) on the
Oslo T-bane system. It is between
Ullernåsen and
Bjørnsletta, 7.4 km from
Stortinget. The station was opened
June 15 1942 when the line from
Røabanen to
Jar was completed.
[1] Along with most of the line, Åsjordet has been closed for upgrades since
July 1 2006 and is service is temporarily provided by
bus line 43.
[2] Åsjordet will among other things, receive longer platforms which can accommodate trains with up to six cars like most of the subway system.

The area around Åsjordet is mainly residential but with some offices and other commercial buildings are also in the area.
